Canairy Locator is built by AinurTech, Inc. (“Canairy,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed Canairy Locator to need as little of your data as possible.
To create an account and sign in, we collect your email address (and a display name if you provide one). Authentication is handled by Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cognito. We never see or store your password.
If you tap “find facilities near me,” the app uses your device’s location only at that moment, on the device, to show what’s nearby and calculate distances. This location is not transmitted to or stored on our servers, and it is never used to track you. The app does not access your location in the background. You can deny or revoke location access in your device’s Settings at any time; the rest of the app still works.
If you subscribe and choose to follow a project or save a “watched area,” we store that choice on our servers so we can keep your list in sync and notify you of changes. A watched area is a center point and radius you select on the map — it is not your device location. You can remove any followed project or watched area in the app.
If you enable push notifications, we store your device’s Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token so we can deliver alerts about projects you follow or areas you watch. Turn notifications off in Settings — or sign out — and the token is removed.
Canairy Locator+ subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify subscription status and store whether your account currently has access. We do not receive your full payment-card details — Apple handles billing.
Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous crash and performance diagnostics for the app. These are not tied to your identity. We do not embed third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that track you across apps or websites.
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the app, and only as needed:
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or the service.
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. You can:
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
Canairy Locator is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and post the new version here. Material changes will be reflected in the app or by other appropriate notice.
